#02 - Rivo Lounge Mural
Our second large-scale mural, “In Unity Beauty Unfolds”, was created by internationally renowned street artist Sophie Mess. Inspired by Chippenham’s motto, “Unity & Loyalty”, the mural celebrates the town’s sense of community, its people, and its connection to local flora and fauna.
The mural was funded through a combination of community donations, a charity art auction, and local backers — contributing via our Crowdfunder campaign. This strong local involvement made the project truly community-powered, building on the success of our first mural at Buckles Fish & Chip Shop.

For “In Unity Beauty Unfolds”, Sophie drew inspiration from Chippenham’s motto “Unity & Loyalty”, weaving together themes of community spirit, local flora, and natural beauty to create a mural that reflects both the identity and future aspirations of the town.

In unity beauty unfolds
"It draws inspiration from the irises that grow along the river banks of the River Avon, as well as the iris named the 'River Avon Iris' I took inspiration from these flowers to create my own iris- 'the Chippenham Iris' as well as the Egret bird that lives on the river too. This piece also ties in to Chippenhams historic motto of unity, and I personally feel it is a very apt time to have a mural about unity when at this time, division and hate is eclipsing compassion, kindness."
