#03 - Greenway Squirrels
Squirrels, ferns and fungi now fill a once-plain garage wall near Hill Corner Road in Chippenham. Painted by Sarah Harris of Murals by Sarah, this woodland mural brings a wealth of small details to an everyday neighbourhood setting.
Completed in September 2026, the project was commissioned and coordinated by Public Art Chippenham, with funding from GreenSquareAccord’s Community Impact Fund.
Sarah’s design combines woodland animals, curling leaves and clusters of fungi in greens, greys and warm ochres, with bold outlines and small details to discover across the wall.

Murals by Sarah
Sarah Harris is the artist behind Murals by Sarah, based in Swindon. She designs and hand paints murals for outdoor and indoor spaces.
For this PAC project, Sarah created a woodland scene filled with squirrels, ferns and fungi. The design brief explored local flora and fauna and links to artist Robin Tanner.

Wall to Woodland
PAC worked with GreenSquareAccord and Sarah to develop the project and coordinate its delivery. The brief drew inspiration from local artist Robin Tanner and his etchings of wildlife, flora and fauna. Sarah brought her own interpretation to this theme, transforming a plain garage wall into a woodland scene, with Jason also helping during painting.
Look closer at the finished artwork and you’ll find curling fern fronds, clusters of fungi and squirrels tucked among the leaves, giving passers-by plenty to discover.
Thank you to Sarah, Jason and the GreenSquareAccord team for helping bring the project to life.
